Beaman House
Sunday, April 29, 2007
The sunrise of another day of preparation for the actual building of the house.
Cutting up the last of the felled trees making way for the house.
This particular log was about 24 inches in diameter and was the "grand finale".
Now we're getting ready for the next phase. That being breaking ground on May 22nd.
Heavy equipment hard at work clearing the land prior to digging the hole, scheduled for May 22nd.

This is the brush pile taken out of the site which extends about 50 feet and is nearly 8 feet tall!
This is my dad in the lower picture who really did a great job of dragging brush to the brush pile for 4 full days.
As you can tell, we are getting ready for an extended stay at the home site which, hopefully, won't be more than 6 months or so.
This is where we take our breaks. Beats the heck out of going to the "break room".
My dad and I have pulled an enormous amount of brush and wood from the site just so the excavator can start to clear the stumps
The land is being cleared in preparation for the excavator in about 5 weeks.
These are some of the views that we will be able to take in, not only when we move in but also while we are in the building process.
